Nicholas Stedman: Monograph
Published in early 2026 by Jardino Editions, this monograph provides a comprehensive analysis of Nicholas Stedman’s artistic trajectory, documenting his transition from early figurative movement studies to his contemporary practice in Sicily.
The book is written and curated by Julia Rajacic, and prefaced by Jade Lu, director of the Zao Wou-Ki Foundation in Taipei. The volume is enriched by critical essays from Michaël de Saint-Chéron, philosopher and president of the Centre international de recherches André Malraux, and Anne Lediberder, director of the Foujita House-Studio, alongside a unique perspective on the intersection of art and performance by the renowned circus artist Fred Deb. Technical insights into Stedman’s distinctive painting methods are provided by Véronique Sorano-Stedman, former head of conservation at the Centre Georges Pompidou.
The publication also includes a selection of landscape gouaches painted in Sicily and elsewhere, reflecting a parallel strand of Nicholas Stedman’s artistic practice. View the gouache archive.
